Wilder Ranch State Park

Padre Trails Camera Club conducts a competitive field trip, usually to a unique local venue, in which they compete in twelve image subjects. This year Club members travelled to Wilder Ranch State Park, located just north of Santa Cruz. The park is approximately 7,000 acres in overall size. It extends from the coastal cliffs up to the crest of Ben Lomond mountain. Within the park is a 110 acre cultural preserve area showcasing historic barns, farmhouses and farm equipment. These provide great photo opportunities. The coastal cliffs are excellent areas for viewing sea birds and crashing waves. The park also encompasses 35 miles network of bicycle trails.
